Shubman Gill is widely regarded as the next great thing in Indian cricket.With the bat, the young player has already shown his mettle in the Indian Premier League and on the international scene.
However, Gill has been given the Gujarat Titans leadership for the 2019 season following Hardik Pandya’s move to the Mumbai Indians.
“I think it’s gonna take, like, probably till the time we don’t play the first match,” he stated, addressing his new job for the first time. It won’t fully register. It’s an amazing sensation.
As everyone knows, being a captain involves many responsibilities, and dedication is just one of them.Self-control is among them. One of them is labor of love.
Gill has commanded the India A team
Gill has commanded the India A team in six List A matches and led Punjab in two Twenty20 contests. Additionally, he led the squad in four first-class games in 2019.
Eoin Morgan, Rohit Sharma, and Hardik have led the Titans’ opening team thus far, and they have all had success in one way or another.
“I believe that having played under excellent coaches has taught me a lot, and I believe that these lessons will be very beneficial to me in this IPL,” Gill continued.

The 2022 winners include former national team captains Kane Williamson and Rashid Khan in their ranks.
As such, Gill believed he could pick up a lot of knowledge from more seasoned players. “Everyone on our squad, including David, Shami, Rashid, Kane, and Wriddhiman (Saha), is a fantastic leader. Thus, I believe it will be fantastic,” he remarked.
As the Titans won the championship in their first season, Gill was a standout batsman. With 890 runs in 17 innings, including three hundreds, he was also their best scorer in the 2023 Indian Premier League as the Titans finished second to the Chennai Super Kings.
